LuxXPrime at a glance

LuxXPrime is a window on the trading platform of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE), dedicated to retail-sized bond trading, and was launched in September 2019. What started off as a limited selection of 260 securities has now expanded and counts more than 700 securities, including green, social and sustainability bonds.

To secure firm prices, competitive spreads and liquidity on LuxXPrime, LuxSE teamed up with EUWAX AG, a subsidiary of Börse Stuttgart, which acts as the Prime Liquidity Provider. In this way, LuxXPrime meets the needs of brokers, asset managers and investors who are looking for attractive prices for smaller-sized trades in fixed-income securities.

Part 1: Trianel Windpark Borkum, Germany

Cooperative Rabobank XS1502438820

One of the sustainable finance securities included in the LuxXPrime selection is Cooperative Rabobank's EUR 500m green bond, which is set to change the way 400,000 German homes are powered.

The project is entering its second phase of construction and already counts 40 wind turbines providing 200 megawatts of power to 200,000 homes in Germany. Sitting 45km off the coast of Germany's Frisian Islands, the wind farm will double its current output to 400 megawatts of clean energy over the coming months, reaching approximately 400,000 municipal households once finalised.

• Protective pneumatic bubble installed to preserve local marine life during the wind farm's construction

With the help of our Prime Liquidity Provider, EUWAX AG, LuxXPrime is bringing firm prices, competitive spreads and increased liquidity to Luxembourg.
