The LGX Monthly Roundup
This month, before a brief break for summer, we bring you a 'Stock Exchange of the Year' award, a cooperation agreement with India INX and much more.
LuxSE named 'Stock Exchange of the Year’ at Environmental Finance’s Sustainable Investment Awards 2022

We're pleased to announce that the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) won the ‘Stock Exchange of the Year’ award when Environmental Finance announced the winners of the Sustainable Investment Awards 2022!
LuxSE was chosen for its pioneering work through LGX in three key areas:
- Expanding the scope of the sustainable investment opportunities featured on the platform
- Bringing structured sustainability data to the market with the LGX DataHub
- Fostering sustainable finance knowledge and awareness through the LGX Academy
“This award is an important recognition of the positive environmental and social impact that the Luxembourg Stock Exchange contributes to by facilitating sustainable investment towards the global goals. Every day, we strive to make sustainable investment more accessible not just to established players in developed markets but also in emerging markets, where the funding is needed the most. This recognition by Environmental Finance further strengthens our conviction that exchanges can and must drive the transition to a more sustainable and inclusive economy,” notes our CEO Julie Becker.
LuxSE and India INX strengthen cooperation

During a ceremony held in the Gujarat International Finance Tec (GIFT) City, India, in June, we signed a cooperation agreement with India International Exchange (India INX) to enhance the visibility of listed Indian securities towards international investors by facilitating their admission on our exchange.
The agreement builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed by our two institutions in 2020, which placed a specific focus on advancing green finance in India.
The ceremony was also the opportunity to celebrate the admission of a EUR 300 m green bond from the infrastructure finance company Power Finance Corporation Ltd. on our Securities Official List (LuxSE SOL), as well as its display on LGX.
Save the Date: The LGX Academy will be back in October
We're happy to announce that the LGX Academy will be back after the summer break to help you on your journey towards becoming an ESG professional!

Ensuring Europe's competitiveness

Zooming in on new displays
Danish power company Ørsted brought two new green bonds to LGX, both issued under the company’s green finance framework, which was released in May 2022. The proceeds, totalling EUR 1.35 bn will finance the company's global build-out of renewable energy and green growth ambition of having an installed capacity of about 50 gigawatts by 2030.
The credit association KommuneKredit’s first EUR 500 m green bond, issued under its updated Green Bond Framework 2022, is now displayed on LGX. The proceeds will finance a series of projects that support the green transition in Danish local societies.
